Diamond Lash ビューティeye(上まつげ)[[REVIEW]] [DUPE FOR MELLIESH?!]

Posted in Diamond Lash, MELLIESH by Jae on February 28, 2011

Do you see what I see? I see what I see.

It’s Diamond Lash ビューティeye today and I bet you’ve been waiting to see something from this range so here we go~!

As previously mentioned, Diamond Lash launched a series of ranges last year including the blue and light pink series.

So far, I’ve gone through the dark pink, much of the purple and some of the blue series. Today’s review marks my first tray from the light pink series and so far, I’m loving it.

The top of the box is a classic black background but this time, topped with dark pink stars (one of my favourite colour combinations).

Every box of Diamond Lash comes with five pairs of lashes and retails at 1050 Yen in Japan.

Now, I’ve always loved Diamond Lash for it’s soft and transparent spine – it has pretty much never disappointed me (save for that one time with the purple tray, it was hell to work with for a while but after breaking into it, it was fine); these, of course, were no different.

The length of the lashes was just right for me and added just the right amount of volume as well at the ends as well.

Notice how the major volume only starts as it graduates to the outer corners? I think it’s a really clever way of adding volume without overdoing it.

Diamond Lash seems to be doing a lot of these fusion lashes right now… XD It makes my life a lot easier because now I don’t have to worry about sticking extra parts at the outer corners.

I’m on the fence about recommending them for girls who wear glasses though cause they measure about 1.3cm. So do take note of the length if you do wear glasses babe!

Oh yes, and the fibers are really quite soft, so you don’t have to worry about them making really plasticky noises when you flick your finger up and down them.

Did I mention how much I love the graduating length fits my eyes perfectly? I always have trouble with the inner corners being too long but these are perfect.

Yes, they are kind of like a souped up version of my Melliesh lashes (shown below) don’t you think? 😀

♡♡♡ Diamond Lash ビューティeye上まつげ)♡♡♡
✔ Length: 8/10 [LOVE the length]
✔ Volume: 6.5/10 [Only at the corners but it’s enough]
✔ Ease of application: Definitely easy, it’s Diamond Lash!
✔ Reusable? XD Diamond Lash is my favourite because they’re very reusable!
✔ Economical? Definitely. These are a lot cheaper than Melliesh and they look very similar!

Verdict:
A definite keeper and rebuy product. no doubts about that. I love how it adds great volume without being too dramatic. One of my favourites!

i actually thought it was more similar to dolly wink’s no.1 partly coz melliesh lashes are so similar to one another i have such a hard time spotting the difference.
    XD

      Ahh! Really babe?!
XDD Aiya, almost all lashes look the same la, the really unique ones are usually either ott or something along those lines. XD That’s why I love diamond lash XD they’re just right ❤

        ya.. true also.

i mean afterall, tsubasa & yui are selling 2 different images.
tsubasa goes cute, sometimes ott cute.
        yui’s more… natural i guess? natural & sweet.

-nodding- I think Yui’s very interesting actually.. Her line is almost completely different from all the other models, except for maybe the ones from DUP…
She’s got such a personality, that’s why she shines so much… -laughing-

        GO NATURAL YUI!

      • bones said, on March 2, 2011 at 10:36 pm

i guess maybe coz both aiku & yui goes for the natural kind of look?

but in all honesty, i find yui’s one really really natural & cute at the same time.
its like her style is the epitome of sweet, natural, cute & simple.
(though kumikki doesn’t have any lashes out or anything, i think her makeup’s pretty natural too, after she started it.)

        XDDD totally.
And yup! Especially in her shoots for Liz Lisa! Omg, so adorable.
-nodding- Definitely, I think Kumicky’s come a really long way since she first joined POP really… She’s changed so much and I think she’s getting really good!

      • bones said, on March 3, 2011 at 11:43 am

        OHHHHHHH MYYYY GODDDDDDD~

yessssssss! her liz lisa shots are always soooooo dreamy! i love love love it!
i tend to like stay at each page for a full minute or 2. *stares intently*

yeah.. back then applying eyeshadow on the lower lids were the rage.
now its either just the corners of the lower lid or none at all aka clean look.
back then she was tanner and chubbier too! thought she looked cute then… now she’s still cute, maybe even cuter.
(though im kinda worried about all these models and their waif frames. esp wei son. did u hear about ur condition from some time back? she just keeps losing weight but its not anorexia or bulimia! *shivers*)

      • Jae said, on March 6, 2011 at 7:34 pm

TOTALLY. I swear, Yui’s just one of those girls that I could look at in magazines over and over and not get sick of.
And the best part is that she’s full of surprises and can pull off rather gothic looks with ease too.

XD yup~ And honestly, I kind of like the fact that most girls are starting to embrace their natural beauty now rather than cover it up with copious amounts of makeup.

-nodding- I can’t help but feel really really proud of her T_T

Oh no!!!! I haven’t been reading a lot about her actually… Is she still losing a lot?!

      • bones said, on March 8, 2011 at 7:37 pm

LOL!!! seriously babe, u’re either her diehard fan or her mom wannabe!
        hahahahaha!!!

no idea.. i can’t read jap so…i can only say that i hope she’s alright now.
but mannnn… her blog pics and her on popsister looks SCARY!
she’s sooooooooo incredibly skinny!!!!! i juz wanna stuff food in her mouth! XD

      • Jae said, on March 9, 2011 at 9:39 am

XD BIGGEST FAN! I love her to death!
OMG, if I had a daughter like that, I’d die happy. XDDD

And oh man… Yeah, I saw her in POPSISTER and… >_< I dont know man… Maybe it's the stress?

      • bones said, on March 9, 2011 at 6:47 pm

could be.. i hope her fans in japan go on a “feed wei son” campaign or something quick!

      • Jae said, on March 10, 2011 at 10:32 am
