Now, you know I’m a really big fan of Yui (and if she actually gets on the magazine cover of Popsister, I’ll buy that magazine regardless of the content, yes, I’m a huge fan)
I’m so excited, I really want to grab a copy for myself… Looks like I’ll be heading to Kino really soon for an ordering spree!
Recently, one of my readers on SMUB, June, did a review on the Candydoll lip glosses and compared it to Melliesh. Haha, no prizes for guessing which she preferred – It’s GOT to be Melliesh.
The stuff from Melliesh is definitely high quality and value for money, in my opinion… Even their blushes, I needed one zig-zag sweep across the pan to get enough colour for one cheek. Can you imagine that? I’ll never hit the pan at this rate!

That girl Yui really is like a marshmallow. Can’t wait for her new lashes coming out.. in September?
Oh right, I’ve got a question regarding Melliesh lashes, do you have the same problem when you clean the lashes with water or any kind of cleaning agent (make-up remover, face wash etc), they shrivel up and immediately become un-usable? I had to throw them away after just that one time wear, seems to be such a waste.
It also happened to other users on a different forum, how do you clean yours to preserve them (to die another day…)?

i have the same problem as you with melliesh lashes! one wear and throw cos they go completely out of shape even when it’s just rinsing it under tap water.

Oh my gosh, really? That’d be so pretty but with Melbourne’s insane weather pattern and horrible winds, take care, love…
I’ve actually only seen snow once in my entire life and that was at snow city. :X
And -laughing- a marshmallow! Cause her looks are so sweet and soft… -laughing- That’s a really cute way of describing her isn’t it! Haha! I’m going to start calling her Marshmallow now! And -thinking hard- I don’t recall, actually… But I’ll definitely put it up when I receive news!
And haha, actually, I only use my Clinique Take The Day Off to remove the lashes from my eyes, then use my fingernails to peel the glue off the lash band… Perhaps you’d like to give that a try? With this method, I’ve actually managed to reuse my lashes over six times so far… 😀 Let me know how it goes okay?

Sadly, no naturally occurring weather phenomena is ever beautiful in Melbourne, because you always get something you don’t want on the side, it’s hurricane-like wind non-stop these past few days, and I can’t test-run my Candy Doll lip gloss for longer than 2 hours, before wiping them off completely, or the wind, or my hair will do that for me.

Regarding taking off false eyelashes, wahhh, that’s what I do too ><, but because the lashes can get a bit "oily" from the eye make-up remover, I simply must rinse them under water with a bit of face cleanser… How do you get ride off the oiliness? Maybe I should try wiping and blotting with tissue paper?
side note: I just got my wisdom teeth taken out, all three of them…. I look like a chipmunk……..

Tell me about it… The year I spent there was horrible cause the cold stretched so far into summer, it didn’t feel like summer till spring came along. -laughing- I hated hpw cold it was at times cause my skin would get incredibly dried out. Darn wind. Especially that stretch down Melbourne Central near to Max Breiners?

Haha, yes it can get really messy so I try not to get my lashes drenched in the remover by using Q-tips. Most of the lashes stay oil-free that way! And definitely, dear, I blot my lashes when they get too oily, it’s horrible when that happens – I let them air dry overnight after that!

You are right. Melliesh lipglosses are much better than Candy doll. I bought almost all of each brand. Candy doll are clear. Melliesh are pigmented. You buy any candy doll and you get almost nothing of color.

I know exactly what you mean the tornado-prone-strip-of-land near Max Brenner, there are a few of those in the city and near Melbourne Uni, I’ve damaged several umbrellas this way… But wow, you lived in Melbourne too? What a small world!!!!!
Too true about Yui and her make-up, always natural and never overdone. But hey, she’s the only naturally beautiful model in Popteen anyway….^O^
